NML is proudly Twinned with Amadeus Lodge No.505 in Paris

New Morning Lodge is twinned with Amadeus Lodge and over the years we have enjoyed traveling once a year to Paris to be a part of their meetings. In the early days members would travel to France by various means including one year by aircraft. However later travel was by Eurostar. Members would meet on a Monday at St Pancras in the Champagne bar for a sharpener. Then settling in together on the train with more champagne and salmon sandwiches, to the amusement of other passengers.

Arriving in Paris Garde De Nord around lunch time we find our hotel drop of bags and head to the nearest bar. Later enjoy some French cuisine in a local restaurant.

The next morning after a late breakfast we would explore Paris sometime guided by one of the Amadeus members. Gathering later in the evening for the Amadeus Lodge meeting, followed by a very special French Festive Board which went till late. Finally getting to bed for a few hours sleep before returning by Eurostar later on the Wednesday.
